The DeSniff Project has been realised to help networks administrators's survey of their networks. It allows you to detect "potential" sniffers.

I've tried to make this software easy to use, and complete. But keep in mind that this project is not complete yet, lot of features need to be added before to reach the v1.0.

Why this name : DeSniff?

The complete name is Detect Sniffer. It looks like dsniff from Dug Song but it's the "opposed" software.

Why do I realise it?

It was to learn use of libpcap and libnet for further use and I was looking for a little project for me. Moreover, networks administrators of my company sometimes use a sniffer, the idea of a Sniffer Detector was a solution to resolve my privacy problems.
